#79 Alpine Slopes

y (30)

I would like to say this photo was taken by me on my most recent ski trip to Switzerland with my hot Swiss boyfriend Sven. But life is cruel.

Anyway, this look is inspired by those beautiful snowy alpine slopes: tis the season to be layering knitwear! I have recently fallen in love with wooly hats and this one surely does the trick for hiding bad hair days. Denim skirts go perfectly with cable knits, and teamed with a fur-lined coat is an ideal winter combination (it may not be ideal for skiing but hey ho, we’ll just drink hot chocolate in the chalet…)

#73 Pick a Parka

y (27)

I bought the most lovely parka today, from Miss Selfrige; £89, and worth every penny. It goes really well with jeans, skirts, school uniform, everything! A key on-trend investment and will keep you really warm and dry.Though I’d do something different today instead of an outfit, and just pick my favourite cosy khaki coats from the high street alone; although of course, clothes are required underneath to avoid flasher syndrome….

#70 Vintage Fair

We all love a good vintage fair, the quirky and bargainous delights from endless interesting people, the cupcakes and tea, the general air of excitement and paranoid hipsters…it’s all good. Despite the often bad smell, I can’t resist big wooly jumpers like this one;; I bought s huge men’s cardigan from Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair in Leeds last week and it is soooooo cosy! Look here for vintage fairs coming near you. This nasty gal holograph rucksack is on the top of my wishlist right now , I love mini bags they are my weakness!

#69 Ripped Jeans

y (24)

Holes in your old levis need no longer be a fashion crime: Ripped jeans are all over the high street right now, or if you’re looking for a more individual look then get some scissors out and start cutting. A teasel brush can be used to fray the edges too. (see http://stylecaster.com/how-to-wear-ripped-jeans/ for more ideas!) This look is inspired by some of the street style seen during fashion month, and celebrities like Rachel Bilson and Elle Macpherson. I think it’s nice to give a nod to punk style, as ripped jeans were a cult 80s look, using studs and leather.

#66 Zooey Deschanel

Zooey-Deschanel-2013 (2)

Zooey Deschanel is an absolute goddess. New Girl is almost constantly on my screen and 500 Days of Summer is my all time fave romantic comedy. Her style is as original as her music and her humour; I love her girly tweaks like cute hair ribbons, and all round 50’s inspired look, like her fabulous tea dresses and vintage bikes. Basically, let me be you, Zooey. Please?

#65 Student Life

LSE graduation day

I am currently starting the mad and complicated process that is applying for universities, and it’s terrifying, but equal parts exciting. I went to my first open day yesterday (GCU) and I loved it! There is so much cool street style to be seen in Glasgow from the students, I noticed especially a lot of summery dresses but toned down to a more casual , seasonal look. Claver accessorizing in muted brown tones and a classic denim jacket really work with this beautiful skater frock. I spotted these amazing notepads in urban outfitters there too- note making motivation I think; cool stationary is like a drug to me, I don’t care! I hope I get in to uni next year, I cannot wait for it all!

#62 Sing a Rainbow

y (16)

I saw this rainbow earlier down at the harbour, it’s so beautiful. Brighten up any rainy day with this sun and rain inspired look with girly extras. I don’t usually use high-end stuff, but I fell in love with this Kenzo cloud-print skirt! And I discovered these Blackheart rainbow nail polishes; how cool is the skull design? I don’t know how easily the colours would get separated in the bottle, but they are instant nail art that’ll look so pretty in the make up bag.
